K. Alexander Wallace named 2016 Community Rising Star!

In a room filled with hundreds of District 25 residents, as well as local, state, and federal elected officials, Maryland State Senator Ulysses Currie and Maryland State Delegates Angela Angel, Darryl Barnes, and Dereck Davis awarded several high school and college students, an educator, a small business owner, and faith and civic leaders with the title: 2016 Community Rising Star Award for the 25th Legislative District.

Prince George's County Board of Education Member, K. Alexander Wallace, District 7, was named as the Rising Star inGovernment due in part to his years of dedication andadvocacy for education policy and civic engagement. Mr. Wallace has worked for several state government officials, a national education policy non-profit, and both the Maryland Higher Education Commission and the University System ofMaryland before becoming a Member of the Board of Education for Prince George's County.

Mr. K. Alexander Wallace would like to thank Senator Currie and State Delegates Angel, Barnes, and Davis for their commitment to the 25th Legislative District and for their recognition and honoring of the service he has given to the students, families, and educatorsof District 7.
