I'm Going to The White House!

Tomorrow evening, I will be attending a roundtable meeting at The White House to discuss how higher educational leaders throughout this nation can come together to help prevent sexual assaults on college campuses.

As the Director of Governmental Affairs for the University System of Maryland - Student Council, this is a major initiative of mine, both professionally and personally. Studies estimate that one in five women is sexually assaulted while in college. Most often, the act occurs in her freshman or sophomore year, usually by someone she knows and only 13% of rape survivors report their assault.

I have always been and will continue to be a steadfast advocate for keeping our communities safe for all, no matter who they are, what they look like, who they love, or how much money they have.

"It’s On Us” is the White House initiative that I am supporting and I hope, as a supporter of mine, you can support it as well!
