October 1st marks the beginning of month long advocacy and awareness efforts for Breast Cancer, Domestic Violence, and the middle of Hispanic Heritage Month!
In truth, we, as a society, should spend not just October, be every month and moment bringing awareness and advocacy efforts to these ideas!
Our Hispanic brothers and sisters are vital to the past, present, and future makeup of our society and economy!
Breast Cancer, especially for African American women, has impacted the lives and lifestyles of many. I, too, have indirectly been impacted.
Domestic Violence has recently hit our news media, but this crisis is not foreign to us. Sadly, both women and men are abused and abusers.
My call to you and I, both, is not whether we support these awareness and advocacy efforts, but what are we going to do to change the tides?
